The Necroknight

This O.C.C. has stemmed from a campaign which I am now participating in. The character that this is based on is a fallen champion of the Order of Dragonwright.

Once a knight has fallen in battle he deserves a proper burial with his sword and armor and deserves the right to take his place among the others that have died in the line of duty. In somw cases however the Gods choose to play with the mortal races and not let these knights rest. Often the god let them lie "dead" for hundreds of years before once again plunging them back into the world of the mortals.

When the hero is brought back into this world they gain great strength as well as a great deal of arcane knowledge. From the passage back to the world they also lose complete knowledge of their past and what they where doing when they "died". This would be somewhat unnerving to most but for some reason the knight doesn't fell any different than a normal mortal except for the fact that he realizes that he has control over arcane magics. Not only normal magics but that of the black necromantic arts.

Special Necroknight Training & Mastery

1. One with the Horse:(Undead Stead)unlike the other horsemanship skills this one is more of the inate ability of the horse and rider to stay in tune with eachother.

Combat: All bonuses are in addition to other combat skill, weapon proficiencies, or atrribute bonuses. Applies to the rider ,not the stead. The rider gains advantage from being mounted on the horse.
       +2 to Initiative
       +5 to Parry or Dodge
       +2D4 Damage
Horse Attack: The knight is skilled enough to stay in the saddle while both he and the stead attack at the same time. See undead stead for damage inflicted by the horse's attack.

The knight has a mystical link with his stead, that is to say that the stead can feel exactly what the knight is about to do, thus the increased dodge and parry bonuses. The knight can also call upon the stead to do his bidding without spoken word. He can call upon the horse to pick him up or even more attack a seperate opponent.
